Bible Study

Our Bible study meets on Sunday at 9:15am, following 8am Mass in the school on the second floor. The goals of the study are to help transform your lives, understand GOD's plan for salvation, assist you to find your "role" in God's story and provide a platform on which to develop further devotion and study. Come join us on Sunday.

Class finished the 2^nd section of Isiah this week with the section video. It focused on Isiah's role as the Prophet of Consolation. The major themes are that GOD is in control, HE offers a promise of return, restoration and a new creation. HE promises the Messiah. In this last section is found the four “Servant” songs which describe the Messiah. While puzzling in its day, from the perspective of today (hindsight) it clearly points to JESUS as it describes HIS Baptism; HE is a covenant to HIS people and the song is reflected 7 times in the NT. GOD's victory applies to both Zion and the world. The book concludes with a vision of the Church being the New Israel of GOD. Isiah closes on a high note: the New Israel is drawn from all nations and there is much rejoicing and consolation as GOD makes HIS home on earth. GOD bless, open your eyes and heart to HIS word and keep you safe.
